Rigor Mortis:The New Viagra

Lovely quote taken from Joss Whedon's latest defunct series...

*Dollhouse/Joss Whedon Spoiler Alert!*

I finally finished watching Dollhouse today. It's a good show, and I love Joss Whedon...but why, why does he insist on killing off main characters? I cried so hard when Paul(Tahmoh Penikett, a fellow Canuck who I absolutely adore) died, and when Echo finally broke down about it. And then Topher...I was a mess. Even Bennett's execution pissed me off,(love Summer Glau) I know she wasn't a main player, but WTF? Why must people make everything all sad and depressing and realistic?  I get enough of that in real life. That's why I watch these shows, to escape, and be entertained...not to cry and get a heartfail angst overload. I know that because it was canceled, the storyline had to be condensed and probably changed a good bit, and that kind of sucks. I can see the potential for some truly great episodes that we'll never get to see now. I liked how Alpha was on their side at the end, I always thought  his character was kick-ass, even when he was a psychopath. Glad to see he didn't get slaughtered, I guess Joss already had his fun killing him as Wash in Firefly.
Overall, I enjoyed the series, and kind of wish that it wasn't prematurely axed. But maybe Whedon will come up with something even better next time...
Now I'm on to Dexter, season 3. I watched season 2 ages ago, and then got distracted with all the other shows on my list...but I'm getting caught up now. So far, he's just killed Freebo, and having freaky visions because he's going to be a daddy. Can't wait to see what crazy shite is going to happen next. I just know it's going to be all kinds of frakked up.
