am i wrong in my opinion that on a young childrens tv channel that is based within the UK and is english spoken should be promoting good verbal skills? by this i mean that if it is english spoken, then it should be teaching good english grammar that is clearly understood?
i detest all this street slang and poor language skills that seem to be populer with todays teens.
i just overheard a story session on the childrens channel, that i dont think should have been aired. it was a story full of street slang and bad grammar. i do not want my child to listen to this and think its normal!
am i being unreasonable in my opinion that the english language is being butchered? i admit i have never been a "posh" speaker but i dont like the ugly slang and unintelligable scum/chav language that seems to be growing like cancer, where ever you go or listen these days.
