jack has chickenpox. i feel awful for him cos hes itchy and cranky from it and obviously not feeling very good. i think im a lousy mum, because i didnt recognise it even though ive seen chickenpox before ive had it when a kid and ive seen both of my sisters kids catch it when they were little.
my sister is visiting and staying here for a holiday. she noticed jack had spots this morning and said its chickenpox, but i was adament it was just a heat/sweat rash. a trip to the doctor comfirmed what she said. i feel so bad that i didnt recognise it. if my sister wasnt here i wouldnt have taken jack to the doctor and jack would have been suffering from it longer without treatment.
