Blood magic
I've never tried using my own blood (or anyone else's) in ritual before. And there's not much said about the practice, or written for that matter. So I've a few questions I'm hoping some of you might be able to help me with. Assuming that you've used blood in ritual before:
1.How have you incorporated blood into your rituals?
2.For what purpose or intent would/did you use it?
3a.Do you think using blood enhances ritual purpose? 3b. How effective would you say it is?
4.What are the do's and don'ts?
5.Is there anything one would need to be careful of using blood in ritual, any dangers (aside being mindful of the basic universal laws - harm none etc, infections and various transmittable diseases to be mindful of when working in groups, that is..)?
6. Where can I find more information on the subject?

I'm also a new member of the group and would like to quickly introduce myself - my name's Gloxinia, I live in the southern hemisphere and am one of those annoying cancerians we all love to hate :-P I am most attracted to the deeper or hidden aspects of life - eg. death, dark god/dess', self-knowledge etc. And love to play/sing/compose music with a passion, as well as eating chocolate, going to the movies, meeting up with friends and taking long walks along the beach oh sh!t wrong community *impish grin*...
