Ok so I know we all go through our fluffy stages, and that we have to be patient with them so as not to break or hurt them (or even worse push them further it their fantasy world). Developmentally, teens reach out to anything not standard/sociologically normal/parentally influenced in order to establish their own identity. That's the main draw for so many to play around with magick or wicca or whathaveyou. Eventually, they realize it doesn't have quite the impact they were hoping for and they move on to some other interest - basically, they grow up and out of it.

What I see as an education professional is an awakening awareness of these teens to the world around them and a realization that they are no longer children. They grasp at childhood play on a higher cognizant level, turning this situation into some epic story of good vs. evil from within themselves and each other.

One of two things will happen with the girl that got caught in the middle. Either she will get caught up into the drama, or she will somehow get motivated to do her own research and find out the truth to whatever it is these children have gotten a hold of and played with. All is not lost in either situation. Humans are not finished with the physiological growth of the brain until the mid-20's.

Let the younglings play. You are wise not to immediately react. To get caught up in the drama with arguements and debate is to validate their various psychological deficiencies. If you want to do something to rectify the bullshit, post helpful websites and give them a booklist of reliable, respected, well-researched authors. Otherwise, find another windmill to battle - this one will crumble all by itself.
