I went to a pretty peppy protest of the NY Senate vote against gay marriage last night. Rainbow flags and colorful umbrellas and fliers made it quite a, excuse the term, gay scene despite the rain and police hanging around. It was so touching that my sweetie actually suggested it - he's been mostly politically liberal for awhile, but I think I've really awakened his sense of outrage about some of these things.
