Even though I think the Nobel Peace Price jumped the shark ages ago and is practically useless (Arafat? Gorbachev? Al Gore? But no Gandhi or Pope John Paul II? Bah!), I am thoroughly enjoying watching the right-wingers snivel helplessly among themselves at Obama winning this year's award (e.g. "So what! Only Europeans care about the Prize anyway!").
Though, honestly, considering that he had to have been nominated within his first ten days in office...yeah, this is pretty idiotic. But most international political prizes are. Close the prison at Guantanamo Bay, like you promised, repeal Don't Ask/Don't Tell, like you promised, and ensure that all Americans get healthcare coverage, like you promised, and I might rethink that.
