Ineloquence and anger are all we have
Got my P's Monday last week Hurrah! Crashed the car yesterday. Less hurrah.
Well it wasn't so much of a crash... I was trying to park and misjudged the distance between me and the car on my left and ran into the corner of the car. Whoops! My car is fully insured but there's $950 excess to pay or there abouts. I think Mum and Gavin are going to pay it which is good because I don't have that much money on hand and bad because I will never hear the end of it, or at least not for a very long time. Sucks to be me, but that'll teach me to be more careful I guess.
Cars suck, especially manuals. Oh how I loathe driving my manual. I always stall it. :( I was driving home from Gemma's place yesterday and got to the lights. When they went green I tried to take off but stalled the car twice before the lights changed and didn't get across. Luckily there was no one behind me to get pissed off. When the lights went green again I was really careful about how I took off but STILL stalled it. I looked at the gear box and saw I was still in third gear. *headdesk* It's only the second time I've done that. Gah.
The worst thing is there was a cop doing traffic observations or something in his car on the median strip across from me who saw the whole thing. Oh the pain.
But yeh, I went into town to report the accident to the police today and bought Snow Patrol's latest album on the way out for about twenty bucks, so that was good. And tonight I am hopefully getting a call from a guy I met last Friday night at the Grand. I saw him on Sunday and he said he'd call again, so that's cool. Trouble is Ash has the car now so I'll have to get a taxi or bus or something down to Henley Beach if I go around to his place. Maybe he can get into the city instead. If he calls.
I suppose he did call me the day after we met (very drunk and on the dance floor at about 1:30am at the Grand) and we hung out for something like three hours Sunday night so chances are he will call today sometime. I'm just paranoid. I'll keep you posted.
