this is my entry for tvrealm create a show.
Option A - five characters
Matthew (Matty) Fireseat
Matty has always looked out for Christopher. The other kids at their high school never understood Christopher’s obsession with comic books. Matty has always had a girlfriend. He is extremely attractive and all the girls love him. Matty has never been able to settle down with a girl. When Christopher and Matty go away to school, Matty decides he is going to straighten out his dating life and not be such a player anymore. There’s just one problem…college seems to be an open buffet of attractive girls. After Chrstopher and Elizabeth get married, Matty decides to finally settle down and be with one girl. But who will he pick? Kelly or Hannah? He can’t seem
to make up his mind and he’s scared to ruin everyone’s relationships.
Christopher Ryan
Christopher has always been a head over heels romantic. He has always been a good friend and would be an even better boyfriend if any girls would date him. In high school, Christopher was an awkward outcast because he was very into comic books. He didn’t have many friends growing up until he joined the football team. Christopher meets Matty on the first day of football practice and they instantly become best friends. Matty is thankful for Christopher always being there for him and sticking up for him. Matty and Christopher decide to go to the same college on a football scholarship where Christopher meets Elizabeth. Christopher instantly feels an attraction to Elizabeth and knows she is the one right from the start.
Elizabeth Sorellino
Elizabeth’s life is less than perfect. Her parents have had an insanely on-again off-again relationship. She has friends in school, but she is always longing for more and knows that she is only friends with them because it’s easier than going out and making new ones. She longs for a normal relationship between her parents and her friends. Elizabeth cannot wait to get out of her small town and meet new people in college. When she meets her roommates Kelly and Hannah on the first day of freshman orientation she realizes that she has not been living life the way she should. Elizabeth meets Christopher and sparks fly.
Kelly Smith
Kelly Smith grew up in California with extremely wealthy parents. She was supposed to be on a reality show showcasing high school students living the privileged life. She decided not to participate and was made an outcast by her friends in her senior year of high school. Kelly couldn’t want to get away to college. She met Hannah and Elizabeth at freshman orientation and the three were immediately inseparable. Kelly was one of Elizabeth maid’s of honor at her wedding and still lives with Hannah. With her brother’s wedding happening soon she is feeling intense pressure from her family to settle down as well.
Hannah Comcast
Hannah Comcast is obsessed with the science fiction aspect of life. She tries to turn everything into a science documentary. Hannah seems to be in her own world all the time and only includes her best friend Savannah in it. Savannah passes away in a tragic car accident turning Hannah’s whole world upside down. Hannah decides graduate a year early so she can get out of the town that reminds her of her late best friend. When Hannah meets Kelly and Elizabeth she realizes how much she has been missing out on by not having a best friend. The three become joined at the hip. Hannah is the other maid of honor at Elizabeth’s wedding.
Option B
Christopher and Elizabeth have been the most lovable couple since the first day they met. Their wedding as even more beautiful than the royal wedding. Christopher and Elizabeth have some of the greatest best friends anyone could ask for. Matty has been with Christopher since high school and has always been his protector. Hannah and Kelly met Elizabeth in college and they have created the kind of friendship every girl needs.
Matty is kind of jealous of the amazing relationship Christopher and Elizabeth have. He wants to have something like that and realizes that he has feelings for both Hannah and Kelly. The girls decide to both date him and see what happens. In the end hopefully they will all remain friends.
Christopher wants Matty to be with Hannah and has been helping him set up dates and be the best guy he could be. Elizabeth wants Matty to be with Kelly and will basically do anything to help him get her.
Matty is taking Kelly and Hannah out and trying to really impress them and see who he truly thinks he can be with. Kelly and Hannah made a pact that there would be no physical relationship. What nobody else knows is that Kelly has been secretly dating another girl. Kelly is only dating Matty now because she is not sure what she wants out of life. She feels pressure to be with a man and has decided that Matty will be the easiest to be with since she already knows him.
When Hannah meets a mysterious man at a bar and decides not to date Matty anymore it makes Kelly feel even more pressure to date Matty. Unfortunately, her relationship with Samantha is getting more serious and Matty is starting to question whether Kelly wants to be with him.
Throughout this whole series of dates, Matty realizes that he actually has feelings for Elizabeth. He obviously cannot put any moves on her since she is married to his best friend but the more they hang out to plan dates the more he wants to be with her. Elizabeth can sense Matty’s feelings and is trying to help gear him towards someone else but is starting to worry that his feelings will become too obvious to all and will ruin her perfect marriage with Christopher.
While all of this is going on, Christopher is completely oblivious. He believes that Matty truly wants to be with Hannah or Kelly and has absolutely no inkling that he actually has feelings for Elizabeth.
Will Elizabeth confront Matty and tell him his feelings are inappropriate?
Will Elizabeth tell Christopher about Matty’s feelings?
Will Hannah’s mysterious man be the one or is he just a fun fling?
Will Kelly ever be able to deal with feelings towards Samantha and tell her family and friends the truth?
Will Matty be left heartbroken and friendless once everything comes to light?
