So, I was going through my brother's old CD's today. He was a vast consumer of music whilst he lived here. What's left in his room is a treasure trove, of which I have finally decided to pilfer.
I got some good stuff: tons Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Nirvana's Unplugged Album, Bush (shut up Alex), Alice and Chains, Blind Melon, Stone Temple Pilots, Primus, Weezer, blah blah blah. Basically, it's like the grunge movements and its subsidiaries threw up in his closet. He also had crummy rap albums and other quasi-pop that got played on MTV from the early to mid-90s.
Of the most interest however was the Nine Inch Nails. He had 15 separate Nine Inch Nails CDs, more than any other one group. Everything from Pretty Little Hate Machine to Downward Spiral (including Further Down the Spiral and all that shit). He has all the singles, remixes, and even two CDs that are just interviews.
This is shocking. My brother was a Nine Inch Nails fan? Was he a closet goth?
Gestalt switch.
