I am alive!

Sep 14, 2009 12:04

I know I promised an uber-long update on college life, but it's warm out and I'm lazy.  So, to sum it up: the curse of the English Education major.  TOO.  MUCH.  FUCKING.  READING.

But the people I've met here and at work are really nice, and I've adjusted pretty well!  I'm not as homesick as I thought I would be; if anything, I think I miss my cats more than my parents, but that may be because I email my parents regularly (though if I don't for a few days when nothing major happens, they freak out and email me with a subject line of, "Are you alive?!") and I'll see them on Saturday.  I have Rachel with me to keep me insane, and Jes telling me she could be coming next year makes me super happy!

Oh, and passing a building every day that's called the Hobson Union always makes me think of David Hobson, which leads to me holding down mad, happy giggles.  Hey, considering the halls are all named after types of trees makes this a big deal, okay?  (Outside of the obvious fact I adore him.   ^__^)

Part Sixteen is mostly finished, and I've been busy coming up with future scenes (apparently Jes thinks I write a kickass Fontaine, which makes me squeal happily as I had so much trouble with him!) instead of completing all the aforementioned reading I have to do, but that's what gets me through!  So look for it soonish!

*off to eat nummy lunch*
