Organizing!
My new place is a bit chaotic right now, with all the crafting going on in the living room and the pile of boxes in my bedroom... but I've been gradually shrinking the pile of boxes at least, slowly trying to get stuff more organized.
Craigslist is awesome. I got two new black leather ottomans last night for less than half price. They are the storage type, so I put all my extra pillows and blankets in them. The lids are soft enough to sit on but firm enough to use as a table... just the thing I was looking for. :)
While trying to organize better, I'm also trying to "upgrade" stuff. I have a ton of plastic totes, so I'm repacking and consolidating things from cardboard boxes into plastic tubs with labels. I replaced the plastic hangers in my entry coat closet with nice wooden hangers (yay for Target gift cards!), and someday I'll replace the plastic hangers in my clothing closet, but there are too many to replace at the moment.
I have a few things on my to-do list...
- reorganize and repack all of my extra bathroom items that don't fit in the bathroom, throw out some things and get everything else all into one container that can easily be accessed.
- go through my bins of leftover fabric scraps, trim into more useable pieces, and throw out anything I won't use. Organize by color and decor/fashion/quilting.
- clean out any extra boxes of papers and junk, organizing what I need to keep and what I should throw away.
If anyone wants storage tubs, moving boxes, or plastic crates, let me know. Or even fabric, I will probably end up with some I don't want.
