Flower power four days per week.

So, now between my three jobs i'm scheduled about 70hrs/week. Good for me. I'm very tired now but feeling satisfied with myself for being able to do this. I'm finding that getting up at 5:30 AM to make it to my new clinic job by 7:00 is not exactly what i would describe as enjoyable. Having gotten used to working such late evenings at the emergency center these early mornings are hurting. I wake up exhausted and continue to be exhausted for the rest of the day. I really like my coworkers at this new clinic but cleaning up dog crap for $6.25/hr and working miserable hours is not particularly tempting. I may drop that job after a couple weeks and increase my hours at the garden center and keep my present schedule at the emergency center. Not sure yet. That would also make the whole Sunday scheduling conflict a moot point which would be nice.
I'm loving my job at the garden center though. I seem to be the designated "Herb and Veg Girl" since apparently no-one else there has ever grown any of the herbs and vegetables we carry. Fine by me since i really don't know that much about begonias or gerbera daisies. There are these gorgeous hanging pots of trailing purple verbena though that i'm eyeing while thinking about the scarcity of vegetation on my balcony. Potted tomatoes would also be a very nice addition. And a friend just sent me a selection of varieties of lavender in wee little pots. I'm quite pleased with them. :)
Had a couple beers with one of the garden center managers after work last night at this charming little hole-in-the-wall "Irish" bar called Arnie's. Very pleasant way to waste six dollars and an hour and a half grumbling about whiny coworkers, ignorant customers and mediocre stock together.
Getting off work at 1:00 tonight and going home to make a cheesecake for Dr S since she was nice enough to spay Izzle for me for free and she's working all day tomorrow. (She brought in a cheesecake pan for me last week with a note in the bottom saying "Please put cheesecake here!" Saucy wench.) Debating with myself over lemon or dark chocolate glaze.
That's the current update for the moment. Probably post a bit more tomorrow.
