Yeah, i know it's been a while since the last time i really updated this thing. Really, not all that much has been going on. I'm loving my apartment even though i'm lacking in furniture and kind of broke anyway. Not a big deal though; I have my necessities and i'm content for now. I'm not missing constant internet access as much as i was expecting i would. Really, it's kind of nice to be inaccessible except via direct contact.
Work in going well though i've now been told that i will not be trained as a veterinary technician any time in the forseeable future. This kind of pisses me off because when i was hired as a receptionist almost four months ago, it was with the understanding that i would trained as a technician as soon as there was an opening in the tech staff. Since then there have been two openings only one of which has really been filled and now i'm told that we're "over-staffed" on technicians and basically to forget about training. *sigh* This is pretty disappointing because i was told that i would only be a few weeks in the receptionist position before being switched to teching. Oh well. At least i still have a job that i enjoy.
Devin came over to visit for a bit on Thursday night and that was pleasant. I made bread and we watched "The Boondock Saints" together. Paused the movie halfway through to make an emergency bread delivery for my coworkers at the clinic. All in all, quite a nice way to spend an evening.
The weather at least is nicer. No more ice and whatnot on the roads. Not that this lessens the stupidity of these flat-lander drivers but at least they have less of an excuse.
And the doom continues. But that's the short-and-dirty on my life since my last entry. Not terribly thrilling, eh?
