I adore her books, she's another author that can bring her characters to life with her amazing writing, and her world is one of the most original UF "setting" I've ever seen. I can't wait to read the next one!
I'm really glad to hear that her Succubus series isn't all romance. That's the only reason why I haven't touched them...romance is fun, and I definitely enjoy sparks between characters, but I prefer if sex didn't run the entire series. I'll have to check it out!!!
You won't be disappointed! There is some romance in the books, but the falling in love process for Georgina is nothing like you'd find in a romance novel. Falling in love changes Georgina to the core, makes her challenge her very nature and...well...I don't want to spoil you too much much the third book in the series will break your heart. *cries*
I've also looked at her Vampire Academy series, and have had it in my hand to buy, but never went through with it.
Strangely it took a long time to me too. The series was labeled as Young Adult and I usually don't go for YA books (with few exceptions, of course). Also, it just didn't inspire me, even if I loved her other series. Then one day - I don't know, maybe I didn't have anything else to read - I just started reading and OMG I fell in love. ♥
