SHORE LEAVE! SHORE LEAVE! SHORE LEAVE! and other various ramblings
Packin' up a bag tonight, and Lord willing, drivin' in the rain (that's coming, I can see it on the radar here at the radio station) to Baltimore for another Shore Leave weekend. :D Gonna hang with astromist and of course hit up the Cheesecake Factory...the con, of course, and whatever other trouble we can think to get ourselves into. ;)
Con guests this year include Amanda Tapping and Brent Spiner (Data from ST:TNG). Somehow or other they scored Shatner for this one; that oughta be interesting just for the man's ego if nothing else. lol But they have broken registration records so I'm sure Saturday (the day Shatner is there) will be insanely crowded.
S'posed to rain tomorrow so the drive itself might not be as fun as it might otherwise be... :( But I'll load up tunes in the car and make sure I'm plenty caffeinated to deal with that. Tonight I have to go grocery shopping before I leave so nobody starves in my absence (i.e. the girls: "There's nothing to eat!" yeah. right. *facepalm* and the cats, whose food bin is almost empty). And then I have to pack; at least the laundry is done. :)
Soooo...there ya have it. Outta here Thursday, driving back Monday...Lookin' forward to the break and the visit and the fun. :) *mental note* REMEMBER CAMERA.
