Hi all,
This April, I will be participating with my lab in the ACS Relay for Life Walkathon. The American Cancer Society supports basic scientific research in the pursuit of finding a cure for all types of cancer. Through an ACS grant this year my lab was able to purchase a new more powerful microscope so that we can more clearly study the subtle differences in our experiments. (Microscopes are ridiculously expensive; the last time we got a new microscope was in the early 1990s. Which was a hand-me-down from another lab.)
The American Cancer Society can't continue to support cancer research without our financial support, which is why I'm asking for a pledge of ten dollars. I do the walking with my lab, and we all pitch in to keep the gears of discovery turning.
