Stokesville is an incredibley strange little town. Located somewhere in the U.S. Some readers will know its stories well, for tourists- you need know only the following:
It is exactly 13 years since a young artist named Nick Witherspoon has disappeared.

Nick recieves visions from deep space.
Nick finds 'The Promised Land' (a large abandoned house with many levels of rooms beneath it.)
Nick gives The Promised Land to his younger brother Malcolm (and Malcolm's friend Sammy.)
three days later Nick is reported missing.
-1995-
Sammy meets Ian Z. on a long stretch of road. Ian moves into The Promised Land. The band 'Plastronico' is formed with Ian Z.(vocals), Sammy (lead guitar), Dinah Mesh (Sammy's girlfriend-Keyboards), and Hodgeson (drums.)
-1997-Present Day-
A few people claimed to have seen Nick for a fleeting moment. Life goes on in its usual fashion, such as the day Ian Z. and Sammy were hanging out in the mountains:
