Response is good

So there's this person from my past that i really respect. Someone that i kinda secretly looked up to when i knew them...and i asked them a question. I asked, how can we truly change our perspective? How do we really see something differently? This was his response,

'at foucault's funeral someone quoted him as saying, 'my main project has been to ask the question, is it possible to think differently?' ... sometimes it's done all at once, as in epiphanies, and sometimes it comes through small patient steps. sometimes it looks hopeless, but we also know that history is impossible without changing perspectives. change is inevitable, it's understanding change, taking hold of it in useful ways, discerning the superificial from the deep changes, experiencing and experimenting with these differences, that's what's key.'

Maybe it doesnt to you, but that really meant alot to me. Not like Steel Magnolias alot but, it really helps me understand something. Anyways i figured if i put it here i would be able to look at it again to remind myself of something.
