Okay, I just woke up, and remember parts of my dream. Here we go!
I was a girl, maybe 12-16, and everything was sort of normal, I had a friend who was sort of like the scrappy adventourous neighborhood boy, and when we went to some house, I found some sort of rift into another world. (By the way, I think my dream was animated) Anyway, so we go over there, and it's sort of like...I ended up on an airship, or something somehow. We were flying over some ocean, and I was lead into the side of the ship, where they opened the side at thousands of feet. She was wearing sort of a jumpsuit or something, but like old. It looked very earthy. Then she handed me this little box, and said 'pull when you reach the mountains.' and I asked 'You mean when i'm in line with them?' and she said 'yes' just before jumping out of the side. So I sort of tested my box, and pulled the string. It came partially open, so I took another one, and looked behind me at the line of people. I tugged at the hem in my skirt, then stepped towards the open hatch, and looked out. We were over a sea, and I could see almost a box formation of seom islands below us, some very small with high mountains. So I took one last look at the line behind me, and there was a burly male crew member, as well as my friend from I guess the real world? Then I jumped. The feeling was great, but for some reason everything went black when I started getting closer to my pull point.
I think the no falling in the dream reflex kicked in. I had a parachute, what gives? I wake up, and I'm back in the neighborhood. I go into a living room, where my mom, and the boy's mother are talking over tea. We get to talking, and I somehow mention that I went to another world through some sort of gateway, or portal in the house, or some house nearby. (Maybe abandonded?) They both gasp, and tell me I shouldn't go there. Then the boy shows up, and I forget the name he called me but he said 'Hey (name)! Let's go through to the other side again! Come on!' or something like that. Except instead of saying something, both parents just smile, and wave as we go. This is about when I woke up.
