May Day Vaca!
It's Sunday and I'm at work, but tomorrow is May 1st and I'll have the whole week off. Unfortunately, Ella and I won't be going anywhere special like we had planned. We might go on a day trip or two, though, sometime during the week. I want to visit my taiji teacher at some point, too.
On Thursday, I need to go to the dentist office to have a wisdom tooth pulled. Apparently, as I suspected earlier, the tooth was impacted because it wasn't growing straight out like the others. I really do worry about having the tooth extracted...forgive me for having a prejudice against the doctors over here, but I know how unqualified most "qualified" professionals are over here. I need to have the tooth pulled, though. The reason why I was sick twice this month is because my wisdom tooth was infected. If I let it go, the infection might spread down to my bone and cause more problems.
On Friday, Ella needs to go to Shanghai to take the last part of her translator's exam. So, we'll go to Shanghai together for the day and maybe hang out with my Korean friend. There's a really good pizza place in Shanghai that she wants to go to after her exam, so I'll take her there even though I probably won't be able to eat any pizza.
Last night, Ella and I attended a football (soccer) game with a bunch of new Brazillian friends. We all met for the first time several weeks ago after being invited by the assistant manager of the company's football team (the team is rated #1 in their division right now with a 7-0 record) to a pub to have drinks with him, the coach (Brazillian), and the Brazillian players on the team. Anyhow, I had really good conversations with the coach and the striker...one thing led to another...badaboom badabing...VIP seats for last night's game! It was a good game, too.
