I hate computers

I'm really annoyed that you cannot get Dark Sun maps online anywhere. There are a few here and there that are small sections of some larger map. But 1) I cannot find enough pieces to be worthwhile... and 2) the pieces that I do find seem to be mostly green age maps... which are utterly useless.

Sure Wizards has killed the campaign... but you'd think the guys at athas.org would have put together a copyright violation free one by now.

So I scanned in the paper map from the 2nd revision box set... but it is in chunks... and I don't have anything to chunk them together. I tried my scanner's "stitch" software which on first glance seemed to work, but it is trying to stitch together photographs assuming that you are standing in one place and spinning while taking pictures so it accounts for the panorama effect so when stitching the map together the roads don't line up :)

I tried using 'Gimp' my all time favorite free Photoshop clone, but for some reason the Windows version doesn't allow you to move a layer... you can grab an image as a layer and it sits obediently in the middle of the window waiting for commands... but the command to 'move' is glaringly absent.

I 'might' install a trial version of Photoshop... but this is all getting a bit annoying to do... I might just send out the grossly large chunks of map to the other people in the game and tell them to figure it out for themselves.
