So it's been a while, eh? I suppose boredom has drawn me to this place once more. A lot has happened, needless to say. I went to Wilco's concert in February with Micah and Justin Lintelman, that was pretty sweet. We met the opening band, called the Detholz!, and they make very good music. Some random kid let me have four dollars. I gave him a hug, but I don't know if tbat showed my genuine appreciation or not. Anyway, I bought their CD, and still listen to a lot.
This Thursday, my dad's taking Micah and me to see Tinsley Ellis at the Blues Station. He's the guy who bought an apartment or something of the sort from my great uncle and his wife a while ago. My dad likes him, and it's blues music, so why not, right?
Then, on the 27th, I'm seeing Muse for a second time, probably with a bunch of the same people.
On May 8th, I'm going to see the Books at the Mershon, and I'm excited about that, because they're interesting. Micah might not be back from his jazz band Chicago trip by then, so I might take Justin Lintelman or Ashley. Who knows?
This past Saturday, I went up to Hudson with my mom and my aunt. My great Uncle Max died this past week, and so his four children were there, and their total of six children were there, and then a total of two of their children were there, and other friends of the family, I suppose. That side of my family is huge, and it's so fun to interact with all of them. I saw Kelsey, who I haven't seen in ten years or so. He's changed from the pictures I've seen and stories I've heard, but he's still very cool, and I hope to get in touch with him. He's 25 or so, and lives and works in Seattle. He does lighting for shows there, but unfortunately for musicians like Avril Lavigne and Linkin Park. Ah, well. Johnathan was there, and he was with his new wife, Amber, and she's pretty and seemed nice. I didn't get a chance to talk with him, but for some reason, I'm shy around him. Seeing all of the Ruhl family was very nice, though, and we're planning to have a huge reunion up at the shack property for like a week in the summer after this coming. It will be so much fun, I'm sure, cos those relatives are ceaselessly interesting. Heh.
We ate Swenson's on the way back. I love Swenson's. Oh god, how much I would weigh if we had one in Westerville.
I got to listen to a lot of music on the way up and back, so that was nice. I've read a lot of books recently, including "Big Fish" and "Ray in Reverse", by Daniel Wallace. "Big Fish" is different from the movie, but the movie still holds up. I suppose that's because Tim Burton kicks much ass.
After seeing the last ten minutes of Bladerunner on television with my dad one night, late, after Micah left, I was inspired to find the book of which the movie gets its basis. That book is by Philip K. Dick and it's called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?". Its cover is interesting, and it's quite a strange book, but I like it.
Oh, I have the Sims 2. It's fucking sweet.
All for now. 'Bye.
