I feel yuckyness! I got sick the day before New Years Eve. It's not a threatening kind of sick, but it's a "I'm sleepy and my body aches and my throat feels funny" kinda sick. I actually feel a bit better today. Cees came over yestermorning to bring all the goodies for my sickness: tissue, medums (AKA medicine), veggie soups, orange and apple juice, and himself :) I've been taking my medums, drinking watah, taking vitamin C, and sleeping pretty much all day. All I did yesterday was eat, sleep, go potty, and play video games. I was reaaaallly achy yesterday and Cees gave me massages and I felt better. Today I feel ok, but still a little sleepy and my throat still feels funny. I just want to get better for Monday for a night of sexyness with BSL and the gang. I'm gonna miss Mikey :/ And I hope that Russian girl leaves him alone and realizes that he's GAY!
It was lovely to see the Chino and the Mikey Thursday night. We're there for you Chino xoxoxo Sorry I couldn't make it to Cristina's for New Years Eve. Hope you guys had fun and didn't get too drunk <3
On another note, I got my DIVA CUP!!!! YAY! I got it Thursday and immediately tried it out. It felt really weird and scary at first, but then I got used to it. I was towards the end of my period, so I have yet to see how it feels to have it on when I'm on my heavy days. But I can safely say that I LOVE IT. It beats pads and tampons ANYDAY. The cup is an amazing invention. Wear it for as long as 12 hours, rinse, and insert back in. NO LEAKS! I can't believe it took me this long to find out about it. I have the beautiful people at
vaginapagina to thank! I absolutely recommend it to all my gal pals! Go here:
http://www.divacup.com/ and just read up on it. It's totally worth it gals.
So, I've heard "World In Motion" by New Order FOREVER ago. And I really thought nothing of it. Just recently (maybe 2 months ago) I immediately fell in love with it. I know it's about the England soccer/football team, but come on! Listen to the song! Listen to the music! Gay times a LOT! So anyway, one day 2 months ago I hear this and it immediately becomes "my" song. I love it and all it's gayness. I realize that New Order threw in some fans cheering towards the end to make it a bit hetero, but they can't fool me! HAHA! Well, I was listening to this song a lot everytime I saw Cees because he has it on his MP3 player. For some strange reason, I was inspired to make a GAY MIX VOLUME 1: FLAMMING 80s because of this song. Because it just reeked of gay. So far, this is my list:
New Order: Kiss of Death
Depeche Mode: I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead
A Ha: Take On Me
A Flock of Seagulls: I Ran (So Far Away)
Dead Or Alive: You Spin Me Right Round
Depeche Mode: Photographic
Soft Cell: Sex Dwarf
New Order: World In Motion and World In Motion (Subbuteo Mix)
Devo: Whip It
Depeche Mode: Dreaming of Me
Billy Idol: Dancing With Myself
Frankie Goes to Hollywood: Relax
New Order: Spooky (Magimix)
Culture Club: I'll Tumble For You
Depeche Mode: Boys Say Go!
New Order: Mr. Disco
Wham!: Go
Peter Schilling: Major Tom
Depeche Mode: What's Your Name
New Order: Face Up
In compiling this volume (which is not complete), I realized that Depeche Mode and New Order made some prety gay songs. Where Depeche Mode did some pretty gay lyrics (In "What's Your Name:" Hey you're such a pretty boy you're so pretty! P-R-E-DOUBLE T-Y!, and in "Boy Say Go!:" Boys meet boys, get together/Boys meet boys it's forever/Don't say no/Boys say go!), New Order made some pretty gay music (listen to "Face Up," "World In Motion," "Mr. Disco," etc, etc, etc.). I believe that I will somehow create cds full of DM and NO alone because they can create soundtracks of gayness. I have yet to add some Pet Shop Boys cause they are just as gay as DM and NO.
Now, I must explain. I am in NO WAY hating on these songs or on the music. I am not a homophobe or think that homosexuality is bad or anything like that. If you knew me, you'd know I am the exact opposite. I actually love these cheesy little sounds. I LOVE that they sound like they belong at some gay club in West Hollywood. I FUCKING LOVE IT! And each time I listen to these things, that's exactly what I think of: I think of watching Queer As Folk, of going to RAGE with Fabian in WeHo, of seeing Mikey and Fabian dancing with their mouths all open and happy. These songs are good, fun, and gay memories. You can't deny the homo in these songs. You just can't. And I realize that a lot of these songs are already featured on all the 80s dance mixes, the flashback mixes of the world. But I wanted to make my own, and I wanted to pay homage to some gay music kings, DM and NO. So bow down to the FLAMMING 80s!!!!!!!!!!!!!
