Fabulous.....
So tonight was really great:-) Even though my day didn't start out so great. I woke up this morning not feeling so great. I really think it was the nerves. They were kicked into high gear for sure! But my stomach settled down during the day. I had to work, of course, because it was Saturday. I came right home and gave myself a quick manicure, just making sure they looked nice & then covered with clear polish. Then got ready and John came to pick me up around 5:30, as planned. My mom came home shortly after I got home from work. She asked me about our plans and I told her about him coming here and everything. And it came up about whether she was going to get to meet him or not. I told her that I'd rather not go through that. I mean, tonight was only the third time we'll have seen each other. So, even though she teased me about it, she did say that I was no longer 16 so she was fine with it. Even though she told my sister that as soon as he got here I flew out the door. I just really don't think it was necessary to put him through a parental meeting at the moment.
So anyway, he picked me up and we went to Applebee's for dinner. They were really busy but we were able to get right in, but then it took a half hour for our food to get to us. So we ended up not getting to the game and inside till almost 7. It was okay though. So we found our seats, and Leigh was already there. She couldn't find anyone to take to the game so it was just her. We ended up talking, which I was hoping that John didn't feel like I was talking to her more than him. I consiously made an effort to not spend the whole time talking with her. But luckily, early on, she ended up going to another section because our boss was there on the other side of the ice. So John and I sat together, watched the game, cheered the Spirit on to a WIN. It was great. And there was an awesome fight. Fletcher kicked this guy's ASS. It was great!!! He was able to get in this great upper cut. Yeah, he got 5 minutes for fighting, but so well worth seeing. Sorry to say, Crystal, Jesse didn't get into any fights. He did body slam a guy into the wall a few times though. You would have been cheering him on though!
So John and I held hands, and he had his arm draped around me. It felt great to have that! So the game ended and he brought me back home. Which as soon as we turned the corner I saw my sis's blazer in the driveway. But John pulled up in front of the house, and turned off his headlights and we sat there and talked for a few minutes, trying to figure out if we'd be able to see each other at all this week. And as we were hugging goodnight, we finally had our first kiss:-D And at one point, he said that we were being watched. I look over and sure enough, my sister was just standing at the front door! But she was actually on her way out but was still talking to my mom so she wasn't just standing there looking directly at us. But she heard his truck so apparently she flew right to the window to see us. You just got to love the familial teasing!
So it was an early night. I was home by 10, but he's got to work early tomorrow and I really don't want to be the reason he doesn't get enough sleep. His job really isn't a great job to go to without having gotten much sleep. But we definitely want to see each other again, and hopefully soon. But with my schedule this week compared to his, it just may have to wait until Saturday. He invited me over Monday night after I get out of work, but I've got a huge exam the next morning so I probably really should not be out real late. But I made the right decision in what to wear tonight:-) I was looking cute, if I do say so myself. I wore my Jessica Simpson jeans (because I knew he'd like how I looked in them) with a light purple sweater and my boots. And he told me that he really liked my jeans, or rather, how I looked in my jeans! So they had the effect that I wanted them to have! That was the best well-spent $12 ever!
So now I'm really ready for bed. I got talked into going to church tomorrow. Not necessarily what I want to do with my Sunday morning, but oh well. I'll definitely have to get to my studying afterwards though. And my mom said tonight that the computer's her's tomorrow cuz she's got some project to do for work. So I'm really hoping that I can get to the lab and have time to do my work. I have no clue what they're hours will be, I just hope they're open at some point, unlike last Sunday.
