Big Update
Hey all! Wow have things been moving fast in my life recently! Brett and I did the final walkthrough of our house on Friday. It looks amazing and the builder and the customer care guy were just wonderful. They showed us how to use the appliances, took us in the attic, everything. The only thing that is left to be done is to finish sodding the back yard. I'm a little nervous about this sod thing, but we'll see how it goes. I'm planning on trying to host some sort of APO event after we get moved in, so I hope you can all come see the house!
So that is the first big thing. The next big thing is... (and stop thinking I'm pregnant! Everyone keeps asking me that and I'm definitely not! ;) ) I've decided to quit teaching at the end of the year. I'm going to be working for a company called Ferguson. They are mostly known for their Kitchen and Bath showrooms, but they also own Stock Wood Supply and have recently merged with a company in Britain. I would start off as a management trainee, and would eventually become the trainer. I know it doesn't sound as exciting as teaching ;) but it pays a hell of a lot more and I don't have to deal with the crap that I deal with at school. My thoughts... I can try Ferguson for a year and if I'm not happy, I can always go back to teaching. If I do like it, then I made the right choice. :)
Sectionals is coming up next weekend and I am co-presenting Launch. Oh how fun ;) I think the conference will be really good though. I've also recently made contact with the Interest Group at Western Carolina and have talked with the membership person there almost every day this week. They are very excited about being Brothers and I'm trying to get them to come visit sometime.
Other than that, things are normal. I'm hoping to come to the pledge meeting tonight to meet the fresh meat, I mean, new pledges ;) Hope to see some of y'all there!
