I've never been a huge fan of little girl type dolls - I do have a Tonner Sophie doll (Ann Estelle's friend) but I bought her mainly because she was called Scotty girl and had a cute polka dot dress and felt scotty dog purse - sidetrack - I go gaga over scotty dog motifs on fabric, buttons, brooches, cards and also polka dots.
Then the Petites were announced on Custom House and I managed to resist them for, oooh, a week? I saw a photo of Basic Gabriel dressed in an Ann Estelle outfit and with a Sophie doll too , and I thought Gabriel looked so, so cute - so into the shopping cart she went and she has just arrived this morning.
OMG - what a tiny little doll - perfect little joints and I love her separated toes.
It's lovely and sunny here - so we took her into the garden and Fleur showed her the crocuses. I have never wanted to photograph big and little dolls together - have never liked this "mommy" thing that goes on with other little girl dolls on other boards, but somehow Fleur and Scottie interacted perfectly together - it was a strange experience to see them working so well together but I am adamant - Fleur is Scottie's Auntie NOT Mummy.
