I have got to get a job!
I can't believe it takes the government so long to just laminate a card and put it in the mail. Thats not all either, after I get my temporary work authorization card I still need to get a social security number(which doesn't take long though) before I can get a job. All I can do is wait now that I've sent them everything they need.

Otherwise I've been busy.
Been on these forums for a while now and found some pretty good stuff. You can find just about any trance artists site there.

Can anybody tell me if they've seen this: How teaching math has changed over time.

Teaching Math in 1950:

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit?

Teaching Math in 1960:

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or $80. What is his profit?

Teaching Math in 1970:

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80. Did he make a profit?

Teaching Math in 1980:

A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $100. His cost of production is $80 and his profit is $20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20.

Teaching Math post-1990:

By cutting down Beautiful forest trees, the logger makes $20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class.

Participation after answering the question: How did the forest birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down the trees.(There are no wrong answers.)

This proves the point I have been trying to make for sometime now.
