Progress notes for 9 December 2008

"[Title redacted]"

4,104 / 5,000
(82.1%)

Deadline: December 31, 2008
Reason for stopping: It was nearly 1:30 a.m. and I decided maybe getting some sleep was a good thing.
Darling du jour: NA (Not sharing for any of this story.)
Number of curse words so far: Just the one bitch so far.
Character quirks: Perverse pleasures, talking to one's self, guilty gills
Words Microsoft Word squirms at: NA
Words Microsoft Word loves, but should probably have a problem with: NA
Sustenance: Coffee and a piece of banana-flavored Laffy Taffy.
Mean Things: Fight full of stabbing and jabbing; someone loses their eyes.
Other writing-related work: I was beginning to get lost in my own world here and had to draw a map. A lame map, but a map nonetheless. Clearly, epic fantasy is tough to do on the small scale.
Other work not related to writing: Drew something for my father's birthday present. Hope he gets a chuckle from it.
Mail: Wee, my official placement rejection from WOTF arrived today.
Pristine Things: Meh.

This will most definitely be going over my estimated word count of 5,000. Maybe something more like 6,500 or 7,000. Who knows? The story's length will be what it is once the story's been told. Thankfully, WOTF doesn't mind receiving longer submissions.

I was going to write more on the subject of...other things, but I don't think that's a good idea now.

Is it January 2, 2009 yet?
