According to BBC press release they're beginning to film the second series of Sherlock. About bloody time BBC!!
What's even more exciting: "The three stories will be called A Scandal in Belgravia, The Hounds of Baskerville, and The Reichenbach Fall." They're pretty much my favorite stories, I cannot begin to tell you how happy this makes me. Or the fact that Mark Gatiss is writing The Hounds of Baskerville and calling it Gothic horror. I have a feeling I won't be able to sleep without the light on after that airs. :)
Slightly less thrilling are the news that Stephen Thompson is writing The Reichenbach Fall. I really hope he does a better job than he did in the first series. His episode was nowhere near as good as the other two. You can get away with the ok episode, when it's sandwiched between the two parts of awesome, but when it's the final part of the season, you really hope to go out with the bang. I also find it quite interesting that they chose Reichenbach story for the finale. It's like they don't want to commit to Sherlock for longer than these three episodes (surely, after the reception the first series got, BBC can't possibly be having doubts about it).
