It is, especially for just a showcase. Understandable if it were a full-blown DBSK concert. But idk, I had psyched myself that it'd be about $150 before I realized it was going to be just a showcase, so it didn't shock me as much and it was a bit easier letting the money go. /grabby-hands at Yoochun
Omona has something posted up, something like $344. D: I remember paying somewhere around $150 too for a 45-minute FTIsland showcase, which makes Super Junior's three-hour concert a better option for fans.
Yeah, I think those are the VIP ones for Vegas? Or Hawaii? There are 220$ ones here but I think they've sold out. And they didnt say they were vip at that. Rly, ftisland?? Whoa.
Wow, manic fans are manic. And I was reading some comments at omona, saying that they're ditching this ticket price/s because it's helluva expensive. Are you going?
SS3 ticket prices is said to be around $100-$300, as opposed to SS2's $100-$280. So, I think Super Junior's infinitely better ($150 for Upper A) than FTIsland's $150 (front row seats with ten steps separating you and the boys). IDK, it prolly depends on our biases tho.
Yeah, a lot seem to have changed their mind about going because of the ridic prices. But yes, I'm going 8DD idc. This is my do-what-I-want week and to hell with it.
They're popular all right, tons of kpop fans do consider DBSK/JYJ the "mother" of all kpop. Them and Rain. I've heard some people lament at the "break-up", if I can call it that, because we too are gunning after the biggest boy band. It's like, DBSK visiting the Philippines is a given, because SME's bent on bringing all their kpop stars here. SHINee, SuJu, SNSD, and f(x).
But of course, there are a lot of younger fans these days, with the older ones *eheeeeem* too engrossed with earning money.
Well, that's good. Because my other friend said SuJu was pretty much the focal point of the Korean wave there, esp since they were having Super Show at the time. And that was the time when DBSK was really over a rough patch and weren't active at all, so for people who were new to the k-pop scene, they kind of... didn't really exist, it seemed. :(
If we look at the CD sales, Super Junior indeed is the focal point of the korean wave. But fanclubs and whatnot, I still think it's DBSK/JYJ. When Super Junior came, everyone was like, "ooooh, I'm essited to see them in person!" later adding, "I hope DBSK visits too." There's always the thought of DBSK, of fans wishing it was DBSK instead. Not that we're complaining, but.....
Champagne will forever be my favorite interview--Junsu and his epic Engrish fail. Muhahaha.
