NEWS 15th Anniversary
International Paana Uchiwa Fan Project
After the success of the last three years' International Uchiwa Projects, we are back to make another uchiwa for NEWS' 15th Anniversay concerts at Ajinomoto Stadium.
Why an Uchiwa?
As many of you will know, the best way to express your thoughts or feelings at a concert is through the use of an uchiwa. For those who don't know, Uchiwa's are the Japanese style Fans that are either sold at venues (with the members picture on them), or are handmade to display personal messages to the members.
When making their own uchiwa, fans often put their emotions, thoughts and feelings into each design, displaying this to the members.
With this in mind, our aim is to use this opportunity to create an uchiwa that showcases the hearts of NEWS fans all over the world. With the help of international paanas, the uchiwa will be designed, made and then taken to a concert during the upcoming 15th Anniversary Concert.
15th Anniversary Special Project
Since it is a special occasion, we will not just be taking the new designed uchiwa to Ajinomoto Stadium. In addition to this, we will be bringing all 3 of the previous project uchiwas. The Quartetto, NEVERLAND and EPCOTIA uchiwas.
The design:
A standard jumbo uchiwa base has two sides, however, only one side can be shown at one time (obviously). The intended design of the uchiwa will be two sided. One side will be a message for NEWS to read from the stage. The design will include the country flags of all the paanas who get involved in the project.
The other side will be covered in short hand written messages to NEWS. The hand written messages will not be shown to the members, however, will be a way to bring all your feelings along into the venue.

So here’s where you come in.
Phase 1: Information and message gathering.
END DATE: 22nd July 2018
We need to gather a list of countries that paanas live in, so that we know which flags to use in the main design. We also need to start gathering messages to be hand written on the back of the uchiwa. Messages need to be short so that they will all fit on the back so please stick to the word limit.

Phase 2: Designing and Creating
This time all designing will be completed by the mod.
Phase 3: Uchiwa taken to a concert
CONCERT DATE: 11 & 12 August 2018
Once it is completed, the new uchiwa and the three previous project uchiwas, will be taken along to the concerts in hopes that the boys will see them. Ongoing updates and photos will be posted on twitter before, during and after the concerts.
