I’ve been so slack lately. Real life has been a total bitch. Between working and being sick, I’ve let slide a lot of the stuff that gives me joy ( Read more... )

late to comment here, but I wanted to wait until I'd listened to all of them while paying attention and using better earphones. ...which needed a chunk of time. :) impressions below:

- I like Tsumi to Natsu a lot better than Maemuki Scream also - the latter took repeated hearings to grow on me, whereas TtN was almost immediately catchy imho. I also like the rapping/semi-rapping parts ...and I really like the bit where they sing a chord together. it's cute, and catchy. And I don't tend to mind that kind of thing. I'm very much a fan of both the festival kitchy songs as well as the band ones.

- Baki Baki Taisou on the other hand gets repetitive for me and likely repeated listening won't improve that. Still, it's decent, even if it won't get repeated listening from me. ;)

- I like The Light, it's a decent sub-unit song, but it's not my favorite ever. despite having what's probably my favorite combo of voices (maru/yasu). Probably not a popular opinion, but it's unclear whether repeated hearings will breed love or boredom.

...and I laugh hard at your review of Eight Eighter Oh! ...because that's exactly the same thing I thought.. "eh.. what is this marching band horror?!" ...except instead of american high school, I was thinking circus. XD;;

- uwasa no otokomaeito was listenable, but not particularly interesting. possibly forgettable? I guess time will tell.

-- and I agree 100% that Do you Agree is way better in concert. That said, I don't really understand the hype about Do you agree anyhow? ...I think it's a decent song, but I don't love it in the same way as it seems a lot of fans out there do.

Anyhow, love cd/song reviews. so thanks! <3

A late reply to your late reply lol.

I love Do You Agree too but there are other live band songs I like much more. My favourite would probably be Misetekure. But then it depends, as versions vary slightly from concert to concert. That's the beauty of their live performances, no two are ever exactly the same.

Tsumi to Natsu has grown on me even more since I wrote that entry. I just love the video and I think that is influencing me.

I love The Light for all the reasons I gave in the review but I also find it quite intriguing. I'm curious to know why they gave a song to Maru/Yasu (apart from the fact they are awesome and the two cutest beings on earth). Unless other members get sub-unit songs on subsequent singles e.g. Panorama in October, it will be first time I know of members being given what is essentially a stand alone sub-unit song. (I could be wrong on this)

Anyway thanks for reading my ramblings :)

late replys are apparently all the rage around here so. ^^;;

Yes I love live band songs for that exact reason. And I bet it's also a completely different experience where you're there in person (I can only imagine from other non-kanjani concerts I've been to)

By now everytime I see the words Tsumi to Natsu, the image of that scene/clip where Okura is behind Maru, and Ryo-chan is in front plays on repeat in my head. ...I think you know the one I mean? @_@ I can't help it. it's somehow very very mesmerizing and has completely upped my liking for the song even more ...because who doesn't want to see that clip on repeat in their heads. why no. not me XD;;;;

And ooh I had no idea that The Light was so special. ...I hope they perform it during their winter concert (assuming they'll have one?) ...and I'd be happy to get additional subunit songs for other members to in the upcoming Panorama single.
