[Report] KANJANI8 8UPPERS TOUR 2010-2011 - Nov. 23, 2010 Ishikawa - MC
I went to the second show in Ishikawa on November 23rd. I was on the same train as Ryo on the way back, haha. He got off at Shin-Osaka with his manager and was walking so casually on the platform. Black leather jacket (?), jeans and sunglasses with a cap. He was very Ryo, lol. I wonder if the others were on the same train too. I got off at Osaka, which is the last stop, and the fans were looking at the 1st car where Ryo got off to see if the others would get off. I was tired so I just walked away to get to my next train so I don't know if they ended up getting off, haha.

In the following report, I am only going to write what I remember from the MC and a few things from the greetings and one segment of the concert which will include spoilers. I think I remembered pretty well this time, maybe because I only went to one show!

Greetings
- Yoko was in a good mood right from the greetings. "Today, I am everyone's..." and he'd stop there, haha.
- Ohkura said "Let's yarakasu (=cause trouble, kind of?)! Can you yarakasu? Can you yarakasu? You yarakashi!"
- Ryo said "I didn't do my best in Hokkaido and Fukuoka; I saved it all for today!"
- Maru made a joke by using Takenaka Naoto's name (the actor who plays Nino's dad) but I don't remember what he said, haha.
Wink Killer Game
- Arsenal called Johnny "Gonzales" lol.
- Yoko got all shy when the guys started calling him "Mac"
- Ryo got mad when people didn't call him "Ace"
- Ryo was the Wink Killer, and he killed Shota but Ohkura caught him winking at Subaru so Ryo lost.
- Just as a side note: if the Wink Killer wins, the other 6 get into a pyramid and they have to listen to whatever the Killer says.
- If the Wink Killer gets caught, he has to read a love letter (that he has to come up with right on the spot) to one of the members.
- While the other 6 did janken to see who Ryo would be reading the love letter to, Yoko said "Can I stay out of this janken? I don't know why but I always end up winning!" So far, Subaru and Maru have lost as the Wink Killers and both times they read their love letters to Yoko because he won the janken. Maru said "You're a member of the group, too (so you should join the janken)!" Yoko replied "...I think I know that already."
- Shota won the janken, so Ryo had to read a letter to Shota. Yoko said "You guys have known each other since the Yanbo Manbo (...Maabo...) days!"
Ryo's Letter (not word-for-word, but you'll get the general idea!)
"Dear Yasuda Shota-san. It's been about 12 years since we first met. I remember during the audition, where Ohkura and Maru were there as well, you were walking around with your notebook asking for people's home addresses. I exchanged my home address and home phone number with you, too. We've known each other since then. The other day, you came to the NewS concert without telling me in advance. I was so surprised but very happy to see you in the crowd. From the moment I found you, I couldn't focus on anything but you; I wasn't watching the fans but I was watching you. I worked hard for you. You are always too kind, but sometimes you would scold me as well. Please take care of me from now on as well. I'm sorry this letter is all over the place and I don't know what I'm trying to say."
- The others were sitting on the stairs listening. Subaru apparently was saying things like "They're the same age, too!"
- Yoko asked Shota, "So Yasu, how was it?" and Shota started to reply honestly. Ryo got all shy and said "Yasu! You don't have to answer so honestly!!" The guys kept on asking if Ryo was mad. There's this comedian called Choushuu Koriki, and whenever people ask him if he was getting mad, he'd answer "Kirete nai desuyo" waving his index finger. Ryo started imitating that but stopped midway because it was too embarrassing for him.
- Shota ended up opening up his arms and walking towards Ryo, but Ryo backed away, lol. Shota waited with wide open arms, and eventually, Ryo went over to him for a nice hug.
MC
- For a while, they kept on asking Ryo if he was mad again, haha. Ryo didn't do Choushuu Koriki, so the guys now asked him to apologize to everyone. Ryo imitated another comedian (Hibiki) and said "Doumo suimasendeshita!" with a weird face. It was pretty rare to see Ryo doing things like that, haha.
- They talked about how there was an article on the Wink Killer game in Hokkaido. The fans told them that it was an article on mixi. Yoko said "The title of the article was something like 'Shibutani Subaru confessed his love to that person'. My name wasn't even in the title!!"
- Yoko suddenly asked "Maru, why do you have both an iPhone and an iPod?? Isn't the iPhone enough?" Maru said "There's no orange iPhone!" Yoko said "Sou 'nano'?" lol.
- Apparently, Maru has an orange case for the iPhone but he doesn't like how there's a black frame on the phone.
- Yoko said "Even though Maru has an iPhone, he doesn't know how to use it! The other day, I asked him to look up a phone number for me and guess what he did? He dialed 104!! (104 is the number to call for asking phone numbers) It is a lot quicker to look it up on the internet!"
- Maru said "Well, it costs money to access the internet..." "It costs money to call 104, too!"
- Maru said "I want to feel people's warmth (over the phone)" and Ohkura said "You're paying money for 'people's warmth'." lol
- Today is episode 6 of "Freeter" the drama. They were talking about how the numbers for that show were really good. Subaru said "The first episode was mostly Nino! He takes away all the numbers!"
- They asked Maru to say a few lines from today's episode. Maru said "I can't... it's a pretty important line..." and he ended up saying "I say 'UWAAAA!'" There must be something happening in the story today, haha. He also said "Akari-chan, let's go out to eat!" but he always says it!
- Maru said that they haven't filmed the last episode yet, but he did receive the script. He started talking about the last episode, but of course the guys stopped him. "Are you stupid!?" "Everything leading up to it won't be as interesting anymore!"
- From hereon, everytime Maru made a joke, the whole arena just froze because it wasn't funny, LOL. "What's the name of this finger? (.........) Index finger!!" (silence)
- He kept on saying something strange and the atmosphere got worse and worse, haha. Subaru said "This is the worst situation. Maru knows he's not making people laugh but is still not stopping! This is bad!"
- Maru did a nou (Japanese traditional dance) type movement, which was a bit funnier, but the guys said "Maru, just go and change (to your next outfit)! Ohkura, take him with you!" so the two left.
- "Well, Maru-chan is cute." was Yoko's not-so-helpful follow-up comment, haha.
- "People were laughing when we were talking about Ryo and his 'kirete nai' but look at the place now! It's all because of Maru!"
- The guys then started talking about work. Ryo promoted the Chonmage DVD. He was about to talk about the bonuses that come with the DVD and stopped all of a sudden saying "Am I allowed to say this!? Is it okay?? Do you guys know already???" Haha he's cautious, unlike someone we know who lets everything out without thinking, lol.
- Ryo said that he recorded an audio commentary while watching the movie. He said it was very difficult because he's never done it before; he noticed that he couldn't speak at all while watching the movie.
- Hina will be doing a stage show again next year. "It'll be my thid time. I'm still not sure what I should do!"
- Yoko said "Butai early next year, and then Getsu-9 from April..." Getsu-9 is the Monday 9pm slot of dramas. They've made jokes about this before on Recomen, and here, Hina started talking about his imaginary Getsu-9 drama again, lol.
- The title of his 'drama' would be something like "Blowing in the Wind or something fresh like that." He said that the main theme song will be sung by NewS because they fit the fresh image more than themselves, lol.
- He will be the lead actor and the surrounding cast will be Ueto Aya, Kanjiya Shihori, Ohsugi Ren, and then Taichi and perhaps Kacchan senpai from Johnny's.
- Yoko really wants to make Hina's dreams come true. He asked what kind of commercial Hina wants to do again. Hina suddenly looked around at the cameras suspiciously, haha. He said "My dream of a commercial came true already! I am satisfied with ProActiv only right now!" By the way, the ProActiv commercial from this show was Kudou from JOKER, haha. Apparently he's been talking about nikibi a lot with Date-san LOL.
- Hina said his next ambition is to go to Hollywood. Yoko said "...Hollywood might be difficult, but maybe Korea or so. I will work on a plan. Leave it to me. I'm going to do a Dokkiri to you next year. I have confidence that you'll get fooled again!"
As you can see, Shota didn't talk at all during this MC :-( Oh well.
Double Encore
- I don't know what's gotten into them, but they were very much into the "Ohkura Game" haha. The guys would repeat the phrase "Datte, Ohkura no iu koto wa? (=Whatever Ohkura says?)" "Zettaaaaaai! (=Always right)" for no apparent reason, hahaha. What the heck??
- At the very end, they kept on saying "And... Yokoyama You!" and made Yoko say stuff at the middle of the stage for a number of times. Yoko of course was all "I DID THIS ALREADY! I DID ENOUGH!"
It was kind of weird to see just one show, haha. Oh well it was fun nontheless! I was able to catch yellow and red streamers so now I have one of each color!! I got really lucky; I only needed two tries to get all seven (the streamers only came by in one of the three shows in Hokkaido)!!! :-D
