Translation: PART 3
Continuing from Part 2
Narrator: Sometimes, the filming went all the way to midnight. What’s about to start is one of the biggest scenes in the drama.
Saki: (whispering) Currently, we are filming a very serious scene!!
(the Kanfuu fighting scene between Maru and Yasu)
Narrator: This is a scene where the two friends express their feelings and the atmosphere is intense. The staff members caught their breaths looking at the two’s intense acting. By the way, do the (K8) members ever fight?
Yasu: We get along stupidly well. Always clinging on to each other… (because we're so close) people suspect that we are gay, haha (HECK YES WE DO).
Narrator: Maruyama-kun and Yasuda-kun cheer the mood up in the workplace (Maru approaches the camera with a kick) no matter how early their filming starts, they are as energetic as usual! (Yasu slips and falls to the ground, lol)
(Caption: Did he just slip for real!?)
Yasu: This kind of thing happens, huh…
Narrator: Don’t get hurt before filming such an important scene! That is, they are going to act with two veteran actors today. It’s Mr. Shin Takuma (Mr. Pita stand) and Ms. Eri Fuse (Mrs. Pita stand).
(shows a little from that scene)
Narrator: Here, the two boys were shown how big-hearted Takuma-san was.
Takuma: I’ve been chatting with that friend that I’ve met back then… Do you want to see it a little bit? (Here, he said “Chatto” instead of “Chotto = little bit,” which is his way of making a joke with “chatting”… do you get it? Haha… it’s a very lame joke, something that an old guy like him would say, lol)
Both: Whaaat! (of course, being the Kansai boys they are, they react like one, haha)
Narrator: A joke as an adlib!?
Maru: Umm… we are from Kansai so we tend to make big reactions like this!
Yasu: Yeah, we’ll definitely do that…
Takuma: See, they’re from Kansai; they enjoy these things, hahaha.
Maru: Thank you very much…
Narrator: His veteran confidence, something the two boys still lack, loosens up the atmosphere. These things are important factors for becoming a good actor! Since we have the opportunity, let’s learn from the veteran actors! After the filming, Yasuda-kun and Maruyama-kun, still new to acting, learned some things from these two actors. What kinds of stories can we listen to?
Yasu: How do you go about acting… what is “acting” to you?
(don't you think that they could take their helmets off by now? haha...)
Fuse: Oh we should hear that from Mr. Takuma the big veteran here…
Takuma: The most important thing is to continue whatever you are doing.
Yasu: See, this is what we can’t really do… (to Maru)
Maru: Yeah…
Fuse: I think that says a lot. Continuing is important… it’s hard to continue, right?
Takuma: Yeah, well, all we have is experience. Experience broadens your acting capabilities. If you quit in the middle, it’s over.
(Fuse sits near Yasu)
Yasu: Haha, why did you come over here?
Fuse: I think I’m more to your side…
Yasu: Hahaha, yah right!!
Takuma: Yah right! You just like the younger ones better, right?
Fuse: Yes, of course, hahaha! Of course if I were to choose between the old, aging one and the younger one…
Takuma: Wait a second! Choose your words.
Yasu: Hahahaha!
Takuma: Hahaha
Fuse: (comes back next to Takuma) I’m fine on this side then…
Yasu: Haha, in the end you switch to that side… how about you, Fuse-san? What’s “acting” to you?
Fuse: Well to me, it’s figuring out how to approach acting every time with a fresh feeling. Like, how can I create it but make it look like I didn’t create it…
Yasu: How much do you two “create?”
Takuma: I do it on the fly.
Maru: Haha, I really found it interesting that you do create it as we go…
Takuma: Well, you know, I met you two for the first time and when I read the script, I was only in it for one scene, so I wanted to do something fun… so it all just melts together.
Maru: That helped us out a lot.
Yasu: Yeah, it was really fun.
Fuse: Also, a drama is what everybody works on together. It’s not an individual effort.
Both: Thank you very much!
Narrator: We also asked these two for the PR shot!
(Fuse-san said “Oh, don’t film me… I’m not wearing any make up…” and Takuma-san said “What, there was a crime?! …There is no phone, haha. (he was holding an imaginary phone)”)
Then, they went on to provide the viewers with some Jitensha Shonenki trivia.
Trivia #1: The bicycles used in the drama were produced by a former F-1 driver (Ukyo Katayama). A guy explains the design. It goes as fast as 100km/h when going down the hill.
Maru: It feels really good to cut the wind (while I ride the bicycle). I can feel the wind directly.
Trivia #2: One of the cast members is a former professional boxer (Ren Haruku). He plays as one of the guys from the rival school. (Darth Vader’s theme is played, haha) He was the champion of WBA’s super bantam weight.
Narrator: Hold on, there is one more trivia! I (the announcer) am in the drama a little bit too! I’m only in there for a few seconds, so don’t miss it!
They finished filming the drama in late October.
They conclude by promoting the drama for the one last time.
Yasu: We haven’t seen it yet, but I think we’ve put a lot of passion into this…
Maru: That we can guarantee.
Yasu: Yes.
Maru: We won’t make you regret watching it.
Yasu: Yes. This is a very down-to-earth drama, so make sure to tune in at 12:30… 12:30 on November 23rd!
Then, in the end, they finally showed the little clip that Maru and Yasu created. They are so dorky at the beginning when they appear in this bicycle for two people.
