Today I was on the phone to Telus Mobility. I had to make a simple modification to the service for one of our mobile phones. The operator did not seem very competent and finally told me that our accounts had not been set correctly over a year ago and that is why he could not make the simple change. I pointed out that we had been making the same simple change with our phone fleet since last May. He decided to put me on hold while he got someone to deal with the problem. I was on hold for about 15 minutes.
Now when I am on hold I usually try to get other work done on my computer so I don't listen to the music or announcements, I just listen for the operator coming back on line. For some reason, after about 10 minutes on hold, I became aware of the song that was playing in the background. It was
"Where have all the good people gone" by Sam Roberts
Wouldn't you think that Telus would do a better job of screening their elevator music?
