The reno is complete (in my mind)
Yesterday I came home from work and the dining room light fixture had been installed. We have been waiting for this light since November. Muff and I came to realize that we each had a different mental image of what constituted "complete" for the renovation.
For Muff, it was unpacking the books and having them properly on the shelves as well as emptying the storage locker and turning in the keys. All of that was completed last weekend.
For me, it was the light fixture. Every time I went into the dining room I was reminded that something was missing and it gave the feeling that we were not complete. Now the fixture is in and I am starting to understand the concept of "closure".
It is not as if there are not lots of things to still do; setting up the shop; dealing with the gardens; rebuilding the patio; it is just that my mind seems to have put those items in a separate compartment.
