So, I want to know if the rule has always been lifetime ban, why is it now two years? And if the change was made because of the individual involved.

Don't we all. Maybe there's some benign explanation, but so far the whole thing reeks.

I am really disappointed by what I read, I wouldn't want to attend a con that changed the policy from perm ban to two years - wtf two years????

The justification is what I find disturbing - 'he's really sorry, so it's okay!' Um, what?
