K-Dot & The Jonzes
Ok, my secret hobby is to collect videos of awful, terrifyingly bad cover bands. YouTube is essentially a breeding ground for these groups, as any ol' schmuck with a guitar can upload video of their ear-grinding cover songs.
I have a lot more, but I wanted to share this one with ya'll. The song is "Web" by The Roots--a short and simple diddy with Black Thought rapping over a nice Questlove beat. This band applied the "one-chord-guitar-funk-riff" and added a delightfully goofy lead singer bumbling about the stage. So, take a listen to the original:
