(no subject)
Today, my mom and I went to Paco's Tacos (LOL) for lunch, and then went to a used record store and this 'vintage' second hand store. At the record store, I got the used cd "Let Love In" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, which I really like so far. I've always wanted an album of his/theirs, so mission accomplished. Also, ever since Emma played a Beirut song on YouTube in S.B. I have been obsessively listening to him/them. I love the song "Nantes" so much. Anyway, at the vintage second hand store I bought a light blue SKORT (yep, I said SKORT) for $1.00!! Omg, score. I also bought a glossy blue and purple butterfly pin that looks sort of like my tattoo but cooler. Fun.
I got a letter in the mail today inviting me to take a test on August 21st for the Emergency Dispatcher job I applied for weeks ago. My application made me eligible for the next step in the whatever process, so I'm really excited about that!! My mom said the test will probably only be like basic math or something, so I hope I have a good chance. Pros about the possibility of getting that job: The money is good and would give me what I needed to move to San Fran, and I wouldn't feel guilty or weird at all about leaving to move. Woo hoo!! Also, it would give me enough money to buy a new laptop which is my next short term goal. My laptop has been great for the last four years, but I literally only have 2.5 GB of space left and it keeps fucking up most everytime I try to get on the internet and the charging cord won't stay in and I get an angry annurism (sp?) every time I try to make it...the idea of having enough money to buy important things for myself is awesome!! Even though work sucks, I'm def. ready to have a full time job and I really, really, really hope this dispatcher thing pans out. Woo.
