New nephew!
So, Monday night I woke up at 3 in the morning to the sound of my nephew's voice, naturally I got up to go see what was going on. He was very excited. Finally my parents told me that my sister had gone into labour! So, we got Xavier settled into bed, and I went back to sleep. I had to get up at 7 on Tuesday, which is extremely early for me, so I could take Xavier to pre-school. Then I took him home and we had some lunch, then my dad took him to visit my grandparents because I had to go to work. When I finished working I called mom to find out if they had heard anything. It was a boy! We were all hoping for and expecting a girl, so this was a bit of a shock. When they had called mom the baby hadn't even been weighed yet. Mom and Dad took Xavier to build-a-bear to make the new baby a bear special from his big brother. It's a pretty cute bear, he didn't get any clothes for him, but he put in a music box that sings "take me out to the ball game". Then I went to supper with Scott, mom, dad and Xavier. We went to Steak n Stein...Xavier likes it there because they have KD, however, he didn't eat much of it. Then we headed over to the hospital. Scott and I spent about 15 minutes searching the gift shop for a good present. We ended up getting him a cute little blue hippo, a picture frame that says "me n my kid brother" cause I thought it was too cute, and a book that is about the teddy bear I gave Kelly at the baby shower. We also got Xavier a magic ink book with stickers. The baby's name is Owen Gregoire Clarke LeVasseur. Kelly had to have an O name so that her children could be hugs and kisses. I'm not sure where Gregoire came from, but Clarke is after my Great Grandmother, her middle name was Clarke. He weighed 7lbs14 when he was born...that was one ounce more than I weighed I'm told. Xavier was 8lbs and something when he was born. Owen seems so much smaller than Xavier was. As much as Xavier didn't want to have the baby, he said yesterday that he likes the new baby because he's cute, healthy and he gave him a new toy. Owen got Xavier a new, very cool remote control car, how could Xavier not like him?
