Dance Competition

So...Here's how it went for anyone who wants to know:

I had six dances in the competition, 1 on Friday, 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.
Friday, 5 of the 8 girls show up on time, one of them thought their dance was 2 hours later than it actually was but made it JUST in time to go on stage, one of the girls thought their dance was on Saturday, and the other just plain decided she'd rather play with her friends. Well, for a group of beginner dancers they did fantabulous! They got a gold medal.

Saturday I had my little 8 and under beginner trio, they are just too cute, three little tiny blond girls, it doesnt get much cuter. They also got a gold, and one of them got a scholarship. My 10 and under small group did very well, I got a lot of compliments on their dance, however, they only got a silver, I myself am uncertain that I like their dance, but who am I to say? They like it. At the end of that section it was announced that the class from the night before (the one with two dancers missing) won the beginner jazz trophy! I was SOOOOOO proud of them! Then later, there was a tap dance that was like half mine, while my boss was away the week before last I taught their class and finished the dance, then when he came back I gave the dance arms and turned it into a duo and he basically told me it was my dance, well, they got a gold, which actually surprised me, but I didn't actually get to see them perform because I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off getting ice and such for a dancer who had just fallen the number before them. Then that night my cousin had her duo, they didn't do too bad, but it wasn't half as good as they did in class, they got a silver.

Today (Sunday) it was the Footnotes dances. Their first dance, 4 of them were competing against their class dance, they did very well, I was very proud of them, but they weren't as together as they usually are, they got a silver, but their class dance got the gold so it all worked out. Their second dance they did fairly well, they didn't place though, but it was a hard category for that kind of thing, they were disappointed. I was very proud of their performance still.

So it was a pretty good weekend. Now tomorrow I have 4 students taking their dance exams, and then on Tuesday I'm taking my Tap Associates exam! EEP!!! Wish me luck!
