fired grey's anatomy star Isiah Washington cited racism as a factor in his being let-go. (point of interest he was let go for BEING discriminatory, now he cites racism for not getting a second chance, you know if I made discriminatory comments at work i'd be fired on the spot, i think you would be too.)

Race a top issue in democratic debate. (the supreme court removes race as an issue in deciding school attendance procedures, hooray for the end of segregation...again. why is this a bad thing??)

What the hell people, i thought we were done with this. As long as we make race an issue, there WILL be racism. I am not a racist person but every time i hear someone complain that they were discriminated against based on thier SKIN COLOR!? i die a little inside. Havent we moved beyond this? yes i will admit that there are still the KKK and hate groups, even plain old racist people but they are by no means a majority. It's begining to seem that every time a person of minority status doesnt get what they want, citing racism as a factor seems reasonable. We are all looking for the reasons that we fail, however as long as we continue to make race an issue in anything, there will always be racism. Funny thing is the people you hear advocating race the most, are those who claim to be victims of racism.
