First quiz today, should've done better than I did grrr it was so much easier than I imagined..I over studied and skipped the basics, which over course was tested.
Oh well, that is nothing in comparison to the audacity of my brother's traffic court trial. I have never heard of such a mockery of justice.
My brother got an 80 dollar ticket for Jaywalking across that stupid intersection at Chantilly highschool walking home from school.
He and I thought up some good reasons why that shouldn't happen...so he wrote up a speech about it but mainly said that he should've gotten off with a first-time warning instead of the 80 dollar ticket. So today was trial day, after bearing the long lines and delayed dockett (typical of court) he gets to the judge...the thing was so short I can type the whole damn thing...
Judge: How do you plead?
Mike: Guilty with an explaination.
Judge: Have you ever been to traffic court?
Mike: No.
Judge: Well I'm sending you there, if you attend the classes you will not have to pay the ticket. You are dismissed.
So of course, with the court costs of 65 dollars and the 60 dollar class, he ends up paying more anyway...except the course is like 60 hours long and needs a parent or guardian to attend with him.
Hmm...did he run a stop sign, or drive recklessly? NO HE GODDAMNED JAYFUCKIGNWALKED.
So freaking ridicoulous..I don't even know what to say...Lord knows I went to traffic school and I'll be damned if we talked shit about Jaywalking...not to mention mine was only a day long and I ran a stop sign which theoretically could have actually ENDGAGERED SOMEONES LIFE.
But no. Mike crosses where there is no crosswalk and some ticket happy cop who is waiting there just for that person writes him up, and he doesn't even get a chance to explain himself. He showed up for more punishment when he could've just shut up and paid the ticket.
Where's the justice? up some 80 year old judges ass. I need to find out how to appeal these decisions this is absolutly ridiciuolous.
