Busy Day, Busy Weekend
So Friday at work is over, hooray! I'm very happy to get to the weekend. I would like to say that I'm happy to get a rest, but it's not going to be a restful weekend, or even a restful week before we get to Christmas. After Christmas, I'll have a week off, so that'll be really good.
Anyway, work was super-busy. I don't know why Fridays are suddenly really busy these days, but they are. I got through it okay, but I was fielding calls and meetings and doing a bunch of things on my sites.
Tonight, Peter and I are going to Friday Night Movies, which I haven't been to in quite some time. We're seeing Tannenbaum (I think that's the name of it), the movie about the Christmas cease fire during WWI. Oddly enough, we had a play called "Silent Night" about that very thing, so it's a story I know pretty well these days. We usually bring a potluck item with us, and I usually make it, but I have to just bring something from the store tonight, because I couldn't think of anything to make, and I don't really have the time to make anything (or the inclination).
Tomorrow will be a set building day and an open house at a friend's in the evening, and then Sunday is brunch at my brother's house and then rehearsal. I'm going to need that vacation next week!
