i'm moving...
It looks like I'm moving this summer.
There is a chance I'll stay in Bradenton, but it looks low.
Where am I moving you may ask?
The Villages.
Why am I excited?
Change of pace.
Why am I dreading it?
1. "Most of the CDP consists of part of a large 55+ retirement community and Community Development District (CDD) that includes parts of Lake and Marion counties, with some of the Lake County portion being under the jurisdiction of Lady Lake."
2. The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.42% White, 0.52% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.53% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.06% from other races, and 0.37% from two or more races. (Thats a lot of white folk)
3.There were 4,392 households out of which 0.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them...from 18 to 24, 1.5%
AND my favorite....
4. It was reported in 2006 that The Villages had experienced several outbreaks of sexually transmitted diseases amongst seniors normally associated with younger people.
Mmmmm, old folk with STD's. Sounds like my sorta city.
I wish Bradenton was more affordable to live in...
