Update time...

May 05, 2005 09:23

Alright, so, it looks like I've done it again.  I try to get into the habit of updating on a regular basis, it works out for 3, maybe 4 days, and then I am gone again for a month, yeah, I know, I suck.  Anyways, here's a little update to tide you over for probably the next month of two, unless I actually start doing it on a regular basis again...

SCHOOL:

Finished the Winter Semester at OU with a 2.96GPA.  The final grades were as follows: Accounting: 2.3, Computer Science and Engineering: 3.2, History of the Cultural Development of Rock Music: 3.4.  Not too shabby for a kid that said just a couple months ago that he wanted to just get out of school altogether...

I decided to take a Spring Semester course to play a little bit of catch up, so I am taking Quantitative Methods of Management 240, which doesn't seem like it is going to be as bad as it sounds.  Don't get me wrong, it's a Statistics class, so you know it's going to be a pain in the ass, but if I can plug away at it like I did the other math classes I had, I should be alright, not GREAT, but alright.

WORK:

Work has been it's usual pain in the ass.  They fired my Spanish compadre Rafael, which no leaves the store supervisor/assistant manager job vacant, and who gets to pick up the pieces? I do.  But it's not as good as it sounds, I am basically doing my job, selling, as well as almost all of the assistant manager duties at the same time, and not getting paid assistant manager money.  It's all good though, because I am getting ridiculous amounts of hours, and overtime is nothing but a good thing for the 'ol bank account.  Especially now that I am down from taking 3 classes to only taking 1, there is a little more lee-way in my schedule to fit in some hours, but honestly, you can only work 45-50 hour weeks so long.

I also finished as the #1 salesman in the North Central Michigan Region for the month of April, finishing at 146% of my quota, GO ME!

PERSONAL:

Went to Canada on April 22nd with Jen, Heather and her boyfriend Jimmy and had a blast! We got a hotel room, and hammered (or at least I did) We bounced around to a couple of clubs, and they all had well drinks for $1.50, so I felt inclined to have a few.... dozen of them.  You know it's bad when you wait in the crowd, planning on getting 1 drink, and walk away with 3... and the only reason you walked away with 3 is because there were 4, but I decided to pound one at the bar, and carry the other 3 to the dance floor, pound a 2nd one, and dance with the other 2 in my hand.  Per usual Mark-activity, I felt the need to have "flippy-time" in the hotel room, which is where I try to do a flip on the bed, and end up rocketing off of it either onto the nightstand, promptly knocking everything off and crashing to the floor, or bouncing off the bed and shooting into the wall at full force with my 193 pound body.  Amazing.  All and all, I had somewhere between 15 and 20 well drinks (for some reason the number 17 sticks out in my mind) as well as a couple fuzzy navels/sex on the beaches... yes, I know, I drink girl drinks, but I love em.  Here's the kicker to this whole thing... I ended up passing out in the room around 2:30 or 3am (not quite sure) and I woke up at 7:30am, because I had to shower, and drive straight from Canada to Oakland University to take a FINAL at 10am... honestly, I was still drunk when I took the final, how I made it home? I dunno, but I'm here... And I still ended up with a 3.2 in the class... WOW.

Well, I am sure the majority of you at this point know that the notorious bachelor finally decided to try the relationship thing, and what can I say, so far, so GREAT.  It's almost ridiculous the amount of things that I have in common with my girl, Ashley.  My whole philosophy on life was that I didn't want to get involved in a relationship unless there was something about that person that really intrigued me, because I wasn't looking for any small, petty relationships that were filled with unnecessary drama and heartache, because I have seen friends go through that in the past and I wanted nothing to do with it.  Well, I seem to have found someone who shares my opinion on that, as well as pretty much everything else, and it is EXCELLENT!  I couldn't even be happier right now, and I hope like other relationships, this happiness won't fade away...

Went to Canada again last weekend with Ashley, Nick and Andre for Andre's 19th bday.  Even though the primary reason to go was to celebrate Andre's ability to drink in a foreign land, there were other reasons too.  April 24th is Nick's B-day, Andre's B-day, and the official start date for Ashley and I, so all 4 of us had reasons to eat, drink and be merry that night.  We went to the honest lawyer, and had a great time.  For the most part, we watched Andre get wasted and laughed, but we also did a little bit of drinking ourselves.  I had a Jager-Bomb and 4 beers (yuck, thanks Ashley!) and was feeling pretty nice myself.  We got Andre a cement mixer at the end, which for those of you that don't know is basically lemon juice and milk, and once you combine the 2, it curdles... AND HE LOVED IT! He was begging us to get him another one, but we aren't THAT mean! All and all, that was a really great night, but lately, every night has been a great night.

Well, I think that's enough of an update for this time around... with any luck, I might start making updates a habit of mine again, but with this hectic schedule, who knows...

Until Next Time,

PEZ has spoken!
