If you liked the soup Rog, maybe you'll also appreciate porridge - especially recommended for the colder days. I seem to rediscover porridge every couple of years or so. The weather in London has become quite frosty for the past few days and that's what triggered me this time. My current recipe, which is slowly mutating day by day is:
7 dessert spoons of porridge oats mixed with, oh, a suitable amount of milk. Start cooking.
Add a dessert spoon of oatmeal 'flour'
Add some cinnamon powder.
Mix in a spoonful of honey.
Mix in some flaked almonds.
Serve.
Sets me up for a good part of the day.
