Originally uploaded by p2wy. I had a passing thought that I would be able to reach top-tier on American Airlines again this year. I've had to travel to Paris and Shanghai so far and have a work trip coming up to London in a few weeks (as well as a few domestic trips) yet even with all of that I'll still only have ~38k miles out of a necessary 100k by the first of June. I REALLY don't see it happening. As nice as the free international business class upgrades have been, I don't see myself flying enough to do it again this year, and it's really putting into perspective all the flying I did last year (I earned it by flying 107 segments).
