Okay, just a quick update here to let you all know I'm still alive. Finally found a job, I think, after almost 2 months of looking. And that just sucks, let me tell you. The only problem is, I don't actually know when I start this job. I know I'm going to be working construction, working on an office park sort of building, most likely as a "laborer" (translation: mindless drone who simply exists to carry shit). I also don't know what my pay will be, and what exactly my hours are going to be, beyond full time, but at least it's a job. I'm starting to settle into Bowling Green, though there are still some things that are taking some getting used to. Case in point, went to a flea market with Crystal and her mom today and saw a whole set of salt & pepper shakers, flour canisters, and a cookie jar in the shape of 'Mammy'- an extremely stereotypical black woman, large lips and extremely dark face and all. And apparently that's not exactly out of place here. Interesting. But yeah, like I said, on the whole, I'm getting settled in and am actually starting to *gasp* like it. And that's all I have to say for now, since I'm using borrowed internet. Hopefully sometime soon we'll be getting internet, which means I might actually be able to keep up on this whole staying in touch thing better.
